Sited just 5 miles / 8 km to the southeast of Salt Lake City International Airport (SLC), the city center contains a particularly high concentration of hotels. Many further hotels stand close to the University of Utah, on the outskirts of the city and close to the Great Salk Lake. Downtown District
The true hub of the city, much of the downtown district in centered around Temple Square and is an organized gridwork of roads. Capitol Hill
Best known for being home to the spectacular Utah State Capitol building, Capitol Hill is close to the downtown district and offers impressive city views from various notable vantage points. Trendy areas of this district include Marmalade Hill and the surrounding streets, around which you will find a number of cheap guest houses, bed and breakfasts, and appealing hotels. Located on the northern side of the city's Capitol, the Wasatch Springs are a popular place to visit, famed for their natural springs and scenery.
The Avenues
